Permanently staffed command teams with representatives from all services and security authorities involved are an effective solution for major events. They not only enable smooth management, but also the efficient coordination of interdisciplinary operations and continuous situation monitoring. However, successful implementation requires a targeted concept, thorough organization and the motivation and training of the services involved. Technical interfaces must be defined, operational software selected and qualified management personnel found to ensure the smooth operation of the staff.
